I look forward to my first visit to the nation of Indonesia – the most populous Moslem nation in the world. After more than 20 years of ministering in the former Soviet Union and seeing more than 500 churches planted, God is expanding our horizons and linking us with other nations.
God has been doing a new work in this nation that almost became a communist state and then a religious state, but narrowly remained a secular state. The Church was once weak but learned to pray and stand in the gap. They began to pray for their nation and take spiritual authority over the evil that was trying to destroy them. Things began to change slowly and revival came to parts of the nation. Pastor Petrus, whom I will be with, shares how in the city of Semarang they went from 10% Christians to 40%. His church grew from 25 in 1992 to more than 23,000, meeting in 8 locations, the largest being the Holy Stadium which holds 12,000. He tells me, the church first had to become strong internally and then reach out to the community at large. They serve thousands of meals to the poor. They provide many services to the poor and indigent. They are now building 2 hospitals. They are also reaching out to other nations. We have jointly ministered in Russia, Ukraine, and Kenya.
I was asked to come and teach the 300 students at the Impact School of Acts, where they are training future leaders and missionaries from all over Asia and other parts of the world.
Please pray for the ministry here and upcoming ministry in other nations.
We could not do this without your prayers and financial support. Thank you for standing with us. And thank you to the ladies in the sewing ministry at a Rolling Hills Christian Church in El Dorado Hills, I am bringing about 130 handmade dresses for orphan and needy girls.
May God bless you richly.
